My list also leaves out some books that others might consider great for your needs, and doesn't even look at 3.0 books you might want, like the Arms and Equipment Guide. And I think most of the "thematic" books I listed have some spells and/or magic items. Magic Item Compendium (more magic items than you can shake a stick at, many are reworked versions of items in previous 3.5e books)ĭungeonscape (all about, you guessed it, dungeon adventuring)Ī lot of these fall into multiple categories: for example, Dragon Magic (iirc) has magic items, as well as lots of good dragon-themed content aside from spells. Weapons of Legacy (you ever wish there were magic items that didn't need replaced, and would grow more powerful alongside a PC? got you covered) ![]() Tome of Battle - Book of Nine Swords (martial magic, i.e. Spell Compendium (big collection of spells introduced in previous books, which is why I didn't list books like Complete Arcane and Complete Divine) Just from glancing at titles in my collection: But 3.5e is full of great stuff, more than you really need, of spells, items, and thematic content. I don't think there's much aside from what's been mentioned that will fit specifically with the BoVD.
